oh your query here : https://github.com/datenknoten/ngx-ssb-client/commit/c04a3b7835083d7b165e8d62fe9a48096cb37cbe#diff-ecf59646b8c780c50b213d4f77430157R67
you need to have a timestamp constraint on either received time OR published time, I woudn't do both.
I recommend you used
this.bot.query.explain(query, console.log) to see in and read which index your query is using. If it's not using an efficient one your thing will be reading the whole DB....
hmmm it doesn't look like it's likely to be that.
drainFeed draws my attention. I remember people talking about
bind being expensive, but that was in the context of react, and I haven't had to worry about it generally... I wonder how many times that's getting called and if that adds up.
Is the reason you can't just use pull streams without wrapping them in more functions because you want to pass
yeah I got the spinner sometimes. would need to check.
it still took >10 s to load things.
I'm interested in what's taking so long to load, given the other clients can load feeds an order of magnitude faster.
hey @matt you could debug this. Or you can help me figure our how to tap into the received messages which would help @Tim Schumacher and I build ssb-unread.
In fact, for private messages, Dominic already wrote a solution for Ticktack. it just needs a better DB than localStorage. I refactored it to make this next step easier: https://github.com/ticktackim/ticktack-workplan/tree/master/unread
But you don't have to do this heavy lifting. We just need a little help figuring out where to inject some message listening...
-/query : allow initialQuery to be passed in!
Here's a messy preview of the totally undesigned alpha alpha #dark-crystal creation UI I've been working on today. It's going to plug in to the back end work @peg
have been brewing. Excited by the progress we've made
Stoked to be able to re-use some components from patch-inbox work! (and re-using some of the thinking that's gone into patch-poll)
-Merge branch 'master' into bump_plugins
-Merge branch 'master' of github.com:ssbc/patchbay
-Bump to version of ssb-chess which has (mostly working) ability to link to games in threads by their game invite message ID (or move message IDs)
